post-orchestral electronica with a touch of industrial 8-bit dance ambience.
to celebrate my television synchronisation success (adverts and hollyoaks) i have decided to release stop becoming for free. you can get it from the usual place.
in other news, i should finally get around to writing music for my new album soon. all i need is a chair. and some free time.
So it appears Channel 5 have decided to use my track Buffer from last year’s album Stop Becoming in their promo for their newly bought TV series Alphas.
This makes me happy. UK humans can watch the promo at the following link, but I’m still trying to find a way for people elsewhere to view it.
i wish i could write a lot of lyrics, but i can’t because i have no imagination.
i am better at writing silly books with other humans.
here is a work in progress.

it’s been put on hold for a couple of months while i get my honours project out of the way. but i have a few tracks in a semi-complete form.
I have previously produced and released several albums for free via the internet. These last albums have been written, produced, and mastered by me using only a fairly low-spec computer with mostly free software and terrible PC speakers. I have also wanted to perform a live show but have not had any of the appropriate equipment. This time, it should be done properly.
If this campaign is successful I will finally be able to obtain an up to date computer for maximum sound quality and portability for live material, some decent monitors for mixing and/or mastering, some professional top notch software, etc. I may even be able to afford session musicians for those instruments that should never be synthesised. The album will also be able to get properly mastered and pressed. The money will also go towards professional quality virtual instrument and effects plugins. I aim to have the album finished and produced by the end of 2011.
In the end, if the campaign is not successful, the album will most likely be completed and produced in the same manner as the previous releases have been. Every pledge will receive a mention in the special thanks section, somewhere on the artwork and website.
